Job description
We are seeking a dynamic and entrepreneurial Business Development Manager to spearhead growth in the food service sectors. This role focuses on expanding market presence, driving sales, business growth and development, and building strong client relationships. We are quickly expanding and growing, and we will need the support of an experienced Business Development Manager who is comfortable in taking the lead in finding growth opportunities through interested investors.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Present the brand professionally & supervise the sales process with efficiency, passion, skill & accuracy
- Act in & ensure compliance with applicable franchise laws & regulations
- Attend, assist & participate in selected franchise trade shows, conferences & broker events
- Utilize the CRM system to maintain a complete, accurate & up-to-date database of all franchise candidates
- Report on progress including candidate progress, issues, roadblocks & opportunities
- Monitor daily and weekly lead generation & prospect pipelines and provide recommendations on how to effectively market the franchise opportunity
- Build relationships with various franchise broker groups to increase the number of qualified candidates presented by them
- Comply with all Policies & Procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned from time to time
- Up to 50% territory travel
- Periodic out of territory travel for customer meetings, events, and team support
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as business or marketing, PMP certified preferred
- Hunter business developer mindset.
- Experience with quick service restaurant franchise model.
- Strong understanding of supply chain and operational processes.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Proven track record of meeting sales targets.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills.
- Minimum experience required 7-10 years in the related field
- Experience managing a portfolio of customers is considered an asset.

Required Skills
- 10+ years of work experience in finance, with varied experience that covers all or most of the following: Financial Planning, including budgeting and forecasting, Financial Reporting, Accounting in a multi-entity environment, Internal Controls, and Treasury.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Accounting, or equivalent. An MBA/CFA/CPA would be preferred.
- Proficiency in working with systems and automated reporting tools such as ERP and planning systems, analytics solutions such as Power BI and Google Suite.
- Excellent presentation skills, proficient in MS Office, MS Excel
- Strong understanding and experience in data analytics, using data to drive decision-making
- Knowledge and experience of business intelligence tools like Power BI, Tableau
